When I was in college, my oldest brother, Scott, was diagnosed with throat cancer--despite the fact that he never smoked a day in his life. As part of his fight, he endured surgery, radiation and chemotherapy under the care of some amazing doctors from the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. After 20+ years being cancer-free, Scott was diagnosed with a recurrence of the same cancer in 2022. For the past year, he has undergone several surgeries--again, under the care of specialists at the Lombardi Center. Scott has remained positive, despite the ups and downs of the past year, and continues to be an inspiration to all those around him!
In his honor, and in appreciation of the care he has received during both his fights, I'm volunteering as part of the 2023 BellRinger Ride which raises funds to support life-saving cancer research at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Thank you for visiting my donor page!!!!!!
