BellRinger is a bike ride and a year-round effort to end cancer. My 2024 inaugural ride is in support of my mother, Kim Carr and in memory of Kelli Michel. In 2011, my best friend's mom, Kelli, passed away from ovarian cancer. This was the first time in my life I had experienced a death outside of a grandparent's death. Kelli's cancer journey was the impetus for my lifelong commitment to becoming a cancer researcher and a licensed health psychologist. This year, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently in active treatment. I am riding and raising money to support and honor my mom and Kelli Michel. The money raised will directly support cancer research.
