Erika Cohen-Derr's story

Blah, cancer. Grrrr, cancer. F*** cancer! This disease has touched so many, and I, for one, am sick of it! There's so much in this life that we can't control, but recently, I've been moved to take action to fight cancer in a small but important way - by raising money to support critical cancer research.
So, I registered for BellRinger, a bike ride and community movement to end cancer. Our effort peaks in October when we ride our bikes to raise awareness and funds for groundbreaking cancer research at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. I've signed up to ride for 50 miles, by far the longest I've ever ridden on two wheels. But this ride is nothing compared to the journey that so many people have endured as a result of this life-threatening disease.

BellRinger is a bike ride and a year-round effort to end cancer. Our movement is motivated by a community of Riders, Virtual Riders, volunteers, and donors working together to further our impact. I've made a commitment to fundraising, and I invite you to join me by donating to my effort and supporting life-saving cancer research at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
