We all know someone who has been diagnosed with this dreadful disease. Many have been taken from us too soon and I signed up for the inaugural ride to raise awareness and funding for cancer research.
Well then, last April I got my own cancer diagnosis. While the doctors were confident it was a long and 7 months of radiation and chemo before I got the best news yet. I had beat cancer, for now. I'll remain in "surveillance" for the foreseeable future to make sure my cancer doesn't return.
So, it's time to get back on the bike and raise more awareness and more funding so the cancer treatments of the future can be found!
