Rider Profile

Last year, my family's world was forever changed by cancer when my dad was diagnosed with Lymphoma. After taking him to the hospital for what we thought was a minor problem, he was rushed into emergency surgery and was later diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. As a nurse and self-proclaimed daddy's girl, it has been incredibly challenging and humbling to walk with my dad through his cancer journey. Since his diagnosis in March of 2024, he has gone into remission twice, only for his cancer to now be back for a third time. This road has been full of so many ups and downs, and watching him continue to fight with a spirit of optimism and grit has been truly inspiring. He has never stopped being a rock for our family, and I am endlessly proud of the way he continues to fight.
His most current treatment is a clinical trial. This has given us a first-hand look at the necessity and benefits of cancer research. Without cancer research, the treatment he is receiving today would not be possible. BellRinger is a bike ride and a year-round effort to end cancer. It is motivated by a community of Riders, Virtual Riders, volunteers, and donors working together to further our impact.
