Molly Dean's story

This year, I'm riding 100 miles in BellRinger for a deeply personal reason.

This marks the 10-year anniversary of my dad's death from esophageal cancer. When he was diagnosed, his cancer had already progressed to a terminal stage. Just three weeks later, he was gone.

There wasn't enough time. No real chance to fight. No opportunity for the kind of early detection and treatment that saves lives.

I'm riding because I want other families to have a different story.

I'm riding so that more people have access to the research, screening, and preventative care that can detect cancer before it's too late. I'm riding so that more dads get the chance to watch their children grow up, meet their grandchildren, celebrate birthdays, cheer from the sidelines, and experience all of life's ordinary and extraordinary moments.

BellRinger is more than a bike ride—it's a community committed to ending cancer through groundbreaking research at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. I'm honored to be part of this effort, but I can't do it alone.

I've committed to riding 100 miles and raising funds to support life-saving cancer research. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to better prevention, earlier detection, and more effective treatments.

Ten years later, I still miss my dad every day. While I can't change what happened to him, I can help support the research that may change someone else's future.

I hope you'll join me by making a donation. Together, we can help ensure that more families have the time my family didn't. Thank you for your support.
