This will be my fifth year riding for BellRinger, a bike ride and community movement to end cancer. BellRinger has come a long way since our inaugural ride in 2022, and you all have been with me in spirit since then. This year's ride is scheduled for October 24, 2026, and I hope that you'll be able to support my ride benefiting the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in its mission to eradicate cancer. I am excited to be part of the medical alumni team called the Hoya Med Milers, being captained by our wonderful emeritus Dean Ray Mitchell!
My heartfelt gratitude goes out to those of you who have contributed to my previous rides, and I hope that you'll consider doing the same this year. Or even better, please join us on the ride itself. The distances are 25, 50, 62 and 100 miles, and the BellRinger team is extremely supportive in helping train newer or less experienced riders to get back on a bike and ride (I was one of them). E-bikes are also welcome! Sign up on BellRinger.org and search for 'Hoya Med Milers' if you'd like to join the medical alumni team.
The Lombardi Center is one of the nation's top cancer centers, and the funds which are raised will support groundbreaking research working toward prevention, earlier diagnosis, care and treatment of cancer, impacting the outcomes of cancer care in our generation and beyond.
Last year, there were more than 1,200 riders of all ages, backgrounds, biking experiences and professions on the ride. It was an inspiring experience to be surrounded by people all united in a fight against cancer. Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you for your support! Nancy
