Rider Profile

Hi! Once again, I’m joining the illustrious Bridget Holmes, BellRinger's Executive Director, and several other inspiring and beloved friends, to raise money for cancer research at Georgetown’s Lombardi Center. We will be riding 25 miles on October 26 — it’ll be a spectacle of support for researchers, medical professionals, and caregivers, and especially for those who have fought, are fighting, and may one day face the fight against cancer.

I’m riding hugely for my Dad, who lost the fight way too soon. I’m also riding for family, friends, neighbors, and strangers, including my grandma Mary, Sarah, Erin, Margy, Alison, Marge, Geri, Art, Avi, Tiffy, Doug, John, Sandra, Todd, Kelli, Kevin, Cheryl, Fiona, Abby, Elizabeth Keane, Mrs. Whitney, Dan, Marucha, Danny Hyde, AnnieLou, Kate Middleton, my Peloton hero Leanne Hainsby, and Liz W., and frankly I just don't want to add any names to this list next year.

I'm riding for doctors and nurses, including John, Danielle, Kara, Kevin, Amy, Cristina, and George, and I hold in my heart the people suffering with cancer who don't have access to excellent care.

The encouraging news is that strides are being made and new treatments and cures are in the works. Survival rates are up 20% since the 1970s. I was BORN in the 1970s!
