Stephen Byers is a cancer researcher at Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center and Director of our nine Shared Resources that serve the entire Lombardi community. His laboratory works on new approaches for the therapy of cancer with a particular emphasis on pancreatic cancer. Like many of us, Steve has a strong personal commitment to the eradication of cancer, having lost his mother, father and first wife to this devastating family of diseases. Steve has ridden virtually in the past but following a successful kidney transplant is riding 25 miles in 2024.
