In 2023, Mark registered to ride after fighting his way back to health after a lobectomy and a nearly critical hospitalization due to his late stage cancer. He formed a team and asked us to ride with him. On a beautiful Fall day, we were lucky enough to ride 25 miles with Mark and were just amazed at his sheer will and fortitude to finish the course with his stage 4 diagnosis.
Unfortunately Mark lost his battle in March 2024 and will not be able to ride with the team this year, but those of us who can will ride with him and others like him in mind to support the ongoing research to fight this awful disease.
