Rider Profile

I registered for the Bellringer shortly after my first time attending an appointment at Georgetown’s Lombardi Center back in May. With no idea of how the next few months would unfold, I knew it was time to get on the bike and support the efforts that would help others in my dad’s situation. At the time, my dad was confined to a wheelchair with no indication of whether he would walk again. When he heard I registered, he set a goal that he would join me on the ride in October.

Over the very difficult past six months, the Bellringer ride has been a north star for our family. Through the ups and downs of treatments, our family focused on a brighter future ahead, one symbolized by saddling up for the Bellringer.

I’m so proud to say that my dad will be participating in the Bellringer alongside other family and friends this year. He continues to teach all those around him about the true meaning of strength and courage. This marks a tremendous milestone in our journey, an opportunity to celebrate his journey and the journey of all survivors as well as the passionate staff and cutting-edge researchers at Georgetown Lombardi.
